USHRF Global Strategy Convening 2009

The GLOBAL STRATEGY CONVENING is sponsored by the US Human Rights Fund. This gathering brings together US social justice and human rights activists, Global human rights activists and international experts and Philanthropic donor.

The goals of the gathering are to:

• Enable activists to understand how human rights standards and practices have been incorporated in other countries.
• Exchange lessons learned; successful strategies, and minefields in advancing human rights domestically.
• Forge relationships between US and global activists.
• Educate donors about human rights as a strategy for social change.
